Personal Work
Photographer: Mark Bergsma
General Notes: I was commissioned by a woman to capture the beautiful gardens conceived of by her late husband. This composite image was a stitched together panorama using hdr imaging for maximum detailing. The composited photographic image was used with illlustrators's trace function to create a more impressionistic look and feel to the garden taking a departure from straight photography. In this situation I really was committed to reducing the saturation of the light greens to not distract from their love of the red japanese maples. The final image was printed on canvas with archival ink on an Epson 10000 at "22 x 44" and stretched onto stretcher bars. It was framed with a heavy black wood frame surrounding a custom painted liner to compliment the image. The client loved it.
