Demo Reels of Color Grading and Retouching
As a Fine Art Photographer and Retouching Artist, I am now finding that video is becoming an extension of my work. The tools are readily available for still photographers to adapt to video, so I decided to dive in. I recently amped up my technology with the purchase of a new Mac Pro 12 core and Final Cut Studio. The short demo reels you see here are meant to reflect some of my most recent adaptations within the field of video or motion pictures.
Over the last year I have found myself intensely interested in Video and Color Grading. This has essentially lead me into Final Cut Pro, Apple Color, Apple Motion, and other components of Final Cut Studio. Mastering these tools allows me to leverage my career, as a Fine Art Photographer and Image Retouching Artist. Collaborating with Producers, Cinematographers, Videographers and Post Production Studios as a “Look Specialist” or “Color Grading Artist” is on my horizon.
Now that video editing and color grading has become a new tool for my work I am starting to add demo reels of retouching. It simply displays a new technique that can utilize layer comps in photoshop. These can be animated to show the progression of a retouching or creative image composite work.
